Course Overview
The Cybersecurity Lecture Series at Georgia Tech is a free, open-to-the-public, one-hour presentation offered each Friday, featuring thought leaders who are advancing the field of cybersecurity. Meet executives from Fortune 500 companies, researchers from federal intelligence agencies, as well as university faculty and students sharing their latest discoveries. Lectures are open to all -- students, faculty, industry, government, or simply the curious.
The Cybersecurity Lecture Series is held from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm every Friday in the CODA 9th Floor Atrium [map].
All information about the Cybersecurity Lecture Series can be found here: https://cyber.gatech.edu/cyber-lecture.
This course allows students to get course credit for engaging with the lecture series. Every week, all students in this course should register for and attend the Cybersecurity Lecture Series. To sign up for notifications and register for each week's Cybersecurity Lecture, please see the homepage: https://cyber.gatech.edu/cyber-lecture.
After each Cybersecurity Lecture Series event, we can all continue the discussion as a group on Piazza for thoughts, comments, and questions. Many of the Cybersecurity Lecture Series presentations are very thought-provoking! Every year, we discuss at least a few fascinating ideas in more depth on Piazza.
This is a Pass/Fail course. Students must attend all Cybersecurity Lecture Series events during the semester unless they get approval for an absence from the instructor at least 1 day ahead of time. There is also free lunch!
